Dakshinavarti is one of the items for puja used by the Hindus in India and also in other parts of the world to accomplish the worship of the Hindu deities.
Dakshinavarti or Dakshinavarti Sankha is actually a sea conch which opens on the right side. Sea shells of different kinds are available in the market at a very huge quantity but these sea shells open on the left side. It is very rare to find.
Dakshinavarti Sankha is available in white colors and many of them have spectacular brown lines on it. The brown lines on the white conch makes the gate up of the conch more attractive.Dakshinavarti Sankha symbolizes Ma Laxmi the Hindu Godess of wealth. The idols of Maa Laxmi always carry Dakshinavarti Sankha in one of her hands. It is available in two types of skin structure namely a rough surface and the other being full polished plain surface as shown above , though both are natural and have equivalent effect.
